The 4Runner Nomad is built around real-world car camping, off-grid routines, road life, and the small systems that make this lifestyle work long term.

This is not Instagram’s version of perfect campsites. It is the practical side of living and traveling from a Toyota 4Runner, making decisions on the road, adjusting to weather, managing space, finding useful places, and learning what actually holds up outside normal comfort.

I have been car camping for nearly a decade, including several years full-time from my 4Runner. Over that time, the lifestyle has taught me that freedom is not just about leaving. It is about building the systems that let you stay capable once you do.

That is what this site is here for.

What you’ll find here

You’ll find articles on car camping systems, micro living, gear, safety, campsite decisions, road notes, and lessons from full-time travel.

Some posts are for beginners.
Some are for people already living from a vehicle.
Some are simple field notes from the road.

The goal is to help you think better, prepare better, and move with more purpose.

Where to go next

The public page is where I share the road, the places, the camps, and the day to day rhythm of this lifestyle.

The subscriber group is where I keep the deeper layer: field notes, checklists, downloads, setup decisions, weather planning, camp systems, and the thinking behind what I share publicly.

If you want the more practical side of 4Runner Nomad, that is where I put it.
